We have worked with the Department of Financial Services and are excited to let you know that we have numerous classes approved for the various new requirements. We are ready, willing and able to help you get the new CE requirements you need to renew your license after 4/1/2022.  (Remember, if you can complete your CE requirements and renew prior to 4/1, you don’t need to worry about the new requirements until the next renewal period).  We have worked with our friends at the Department of Financial Services to get numerous classes approved for the various new requirements.  You can see our current list of classes…

​​The ​​DFS has responded to Big I NY's request for clarification about the implementation of new continuing education requirements. On November 12, 2021, the Sixth Amendment to 11 NYCRR 20 (Insurance Regulations 9, 18, and 29) took effect. This amendment mandates that of the 15 continuing education required to be completed every two years by certain insurance producers and public adjusters (collectively, “licensees") at least one credit of Insurance Law instruction, one credit ethics and professionalism instruction, one credit of diversity, inclusion, and elimination of bias instruction, and, for those licensed to sell one or more lines of property/casualty insurance, credit of flood insurance instruction, must be…
